clear blue sky

an entire world unknown

to dragons

christmas eve,

my best to be light

like falling snow

early january-

shortest days and longest nights

to make our peace

the caw of crows

a blanketing of clouds

midwinter's shroud

arctic freeze,

again I'm online

in checkmate

stale sour bread

and the hidden laughter

from a new moon
