of discernment. Availability perishable
so how we grow, how it can be known, 

except by itself living and then returning
as experience later methodically undone.

with old matters while each new turn
slowly forges a novel elsewhere.
Grounded perspective's combination 

of both, something that's of ourselves.
The fields of congregate flowers
with their iconic scent worked over 

to a raw honey in the individual hand
of southern air swung over to sudden
wholeness. Maybe or maybe not 

lasting, or even carried on. But always
mirror time made possible bit by bit
and just the same with everything else, 

the sounds, the quiet, the between
grass blades where signature claims
find rest aside contours of effort.
